What owners and managers ask us
The vessel has changed name or flag. What has to be done to the radios? The new identity — MMSI, call sign, name — is re-programmed in the equipment that carries it, and each unit is tested. Send us the equipment list and the new details and we confirm what can be done on board.
Can you activate and renew the GMDSS airtime?Yes, for the Iridium terminals we supply: activation at installation and renewal each year, with a reminder before it lapses.
Can a failed unit be replaced like for like during a port stay?Usually yes. Send the maker, model and a photo of the unit, and we confirm the replacement and the attendance before the vessel arrives.
